The 2011-2012 academic year has been amazing for the CSUMB Alumni Association. We have accomplished many firsts, we started off the year introducing a non dues membership program to all CSUMB graduates, which expanded our membership from 1,100 (paying members) to over 8,000 members.  Twelve precent of the senior class donated to the first ever Senior Class Gift, a Monterey Cypress Tree to CSUMB. We had our largest graduating class in CSUMB history with a whopping 1,100 graduates! I look forward to hearing what amazing things these new Alums are doing in the world.

It has been an honor serving as your Alumni President this year. Looking back I remember I was an eager freshmen checking into housing in the Fall of 2002, I remember my proudest moment in life walking around Freeman Stadium on graduation day in 2006, and finally speaking at commencement 6 years after I graduated and welcoming the class of 2012 into our alumni folds. It is clear to me that CSUMB will always have a special place in my heart, I hope it does in yours. I am and will always be a proud otter, because there is nothing hotter than an otter!

We hope that current and future Alumni continue to stay in touch and support this association, because without you we would not exist. Don't be strangers and the Alumni Association is here to support all alumni of CSUMB.

Continue the Vision! Give Back! Stay Connected!

Sincerely,
