Why Is It Important for Alumni to Continue the Vision of CSUMB After Graduation?

An important aspect of the CSUMB's vision statement is about giving back to our community. The idea of "continuing the vision" is about encouraging alumni to continue to support their community after graduation. When Alumni continue to make a difference after graduation it sets an example for current and future students about what it means to be a CSUMB graduate. Many alumni continue the vision and give back to others both personally and professionally.  Join your fellow alums in continuing the vision!

TASTE (Take a Student to Eat)

Alumni

TASTE was created in early 2009, to provide an opportunity for CSUMB Alumni to support current students. This is a great program for alumni to provide guidance and advice to students about college life, work experience over lunch!

When you are matched up with a student, the student will contact the alum to setup a lunch. The alum will meet the student for lunch on or off-campus. The alum is responsible for paying for the lunch, many alumni take students to a casual restaurant, i.e. sandwich or pizza place. Over lunch alumni will be provide advice to the students about career or college life questions that they have requested ahead of time.
